Series II of Jiama Phase II Expansion Starts Commercial Production 2018.07.01
The Company has achieved commercial production at Jiama Mine’s Phase II, Series II expansion (“Series II”) effective July 1, 2018, bringing the entire Phase II expansion project into commercial production. The Company was able to accelerate its development and commissioning to achieve commercial production for Series II ahead of schedule. The Company continues to ramp up operations at Series II to full design capacity of 22,000 tonnes per day (“tpd”).
Jiama Mine’s Phase II consists of two series, Series I and Series II, each having a mineral processing capacity of 22,000 tpd. The full design capacity of ore processing at Jiama Mine will increase to 50,000 tpd from the previous capacity of 28,000 tpd once Series II reaches full design capacity.

Progress of Jiama Mine Phase II Expansion
The Jiama Phase II expansion consists of two series, with each series having a mining and mineral processing capacity of 22,000 tpd. As scheduled, the Series I of the Jiama Phase II construction is now complete, and the commissioning commenced December 1, 2016. It is expected the output of the Jiama Phase II Series I will be ramped up to its full capacity of 22,000 tpd in the middle of 2017. With the Jiama Phase II Series I in production, the total designed capacity has been increased from 6,000 tpd to 28,000 tpd.

Grinding and Flotation Workshop: Main structure of Grinding and Flotation Workshop is completed. 90% of overall construction has been completed. Semi-autogenous grinding mills are in place. The base of ball mill is ready for concrete pouring.
First serial of flotation cell is completed and second serial is 65% completed. Slurry pumps, line screen, vibrating screen, hydrocyclones, first serial of steel columns and steel beams are installed. Belt corridor is completed.
Tailings System:
Tailings thickener: Main structures of 1#, 2# thickeners are completed, facilities are ready to be installed. 96% of overall construction has been completed.
Tailings pressing pump house: Main structure is completed, 70% of masonry construction is completed, ponds are built, and equipment foundation is completed. 94% of overall construction has been completed.
Tailings pressing pump house for backwater: The bases of 6 diaphragm pumps are completed, platform is completed, 90% of overall construction has been completed.
Tailings pipework: 300 pipe bases were established. 9300m of ceramic inner liner inside the pipe was welded. 90% of overall construction has been completed. pipelines were 45% welded.
110kv power transformer substation at stope: main structure has been completed. Indoor cable trench is completely excavated. Wall is 40% built. 90% of overall construction has been performed.

Major Processing Equipment for Jiama Mine Expansion Arrived in Tibet
BEIJING 13 March 2013 – A handover ceremony for the arrival of major processing equipments, SAG mills and ball mills, for Tibet Huatailong Jiama Mine expansion is held on Jiama Mine site on March 13, 2013. Sheng Lin, Governor of Maizhokunggar County, Jianmin Xu, Secretary of the Party committee, CITIC heavy industries, Yongqing Teng, General Manager of Tibet Huatailong, and the staff from Project Department of China Gold Construction attended the ceremony.
These large equipments with superior performance and advanced system configuration have passed commissioning inspection in Luoyang, Henan on December 18, 2012 and finally arrived in Tibet, the snow-covered plateau, after two-month difficult transportation. The receipt of these equipments will lay a solid foundation for the smooth running of Jiama Mine expansion and marked that Jiama’s processing equipment construction has reached the world-class level.
